About Morphjet
Morphjet is a file converter for Mac and Windows that does the work on your own computer. Files are read from and written back to your disk, and never travel over the network. You can check that claim the direct way: convert something with your wifi switched off.
Who makes it
I built Morphjet. Every conversion documented on this site is run end-to-end on macOS, Windows, and Linux against the shipping build before its guide goes up.
Sam Karia, Creator of Morphjet
The conversion guides and format explanations on this site are written alongside the app itself, by the same person who builds it. That is the reason they can be specific about what the app does and, more usefully, about what it does not do.
Converting is most of it, but not all of it. The app also compresses images to a target size, strips the hidden data out of photos, extracts and builds archives, carries a full PDF toolkit with on-device OCR, and runs speech to text, upscaling and background removal locally. Thefeatures page lists the lot, in seven languages.
What "tested" means here
The app advertises 2,748 conversions. Each one is executed end-to-end against the shipping release, on each platform, and the outcome is recorded per platform rather than assumed. As of the 2026-08-09 run, macOS verified all 2,748; Windows and Linux verified 2,740, with the remaining 8 held back only because their source files (CorelDRAW drawings and RAR-based comic archives) cannot be generated inside continuous integration.
Publishing the shortfall rather than rounding it away is the point. A conversion this site describes is one that has been run, not one that appears in a capability table.
