Morphjet 1.0.9 fixes two Windows problems with running and canceling conversions, and sorts each new batch in Images → PDF by file name.

Fixed

• Morphjet no longer opens an empty window next to the app while a conversion runs. On Windows 11 it was usually titled "Terminal", and on older versions it was an empty black window. It stayed open for the whole conversion, which could be minutes for a long one such as turning a recording into subtitles, and closing it stopped the conversion with an error. • Cancel now stops a conversion straight away. Before, pressing Cancel left the conversion running in the background until it had finished, and it stayed on "canceling" until then. A canceled conversion leaves nothing behind in the output folder.Windows
• In PDF tools, Images → PDF now adds each batch of images you drop or select in file-name order, comparing numbers as numbers, so slide-2 comes before slide-10. Before, a batch came in whatever order the system handed it over, so a 68-slide export could arrive shuffled and need fixing one row at a time. Images already in the list keep the order you arranged.

Morphjet 1.0.8 turns every page of a file into its own image and shows file sizes after each conversion.

Fixed

• Converting a presentation, a text document, a spreadsheet or a PDF to PNG, JPEG or TIFF now gives every page as its own image. Before, only the first page was converted. A file with more than one page comes out as a folder named after the file, with the images numbered in page order. A one-page file still gives a single image, as before. Thanks to the customer who reported this.
• After a conversion, the finished file now shows its size before and after, for example 1.2 MB → 480 KB. If you set a "fit under" size target, it also shows whether the target was met. Morphjet was already working out both, but they never appeared on screen.

Morphjet 1.0.7 adds the PDF, video and image conversions people asked for, turns audio into video, and now works fully offline.

New

• PDFs can now become EPUB e-books, Markdown files or Excel spreadsheets, with the spreadsheet built from the tables on the page. This works for PDFs made on a computer; a scanned PDF needs Searchable PDF first. Several of you asked for these on the r/macapps launch thread.
• RealMedia and RealAudio files (.rm, .rmvb and .ra) now convert to the usual video and audio formats, MP4 and MP3 included.
• Video CD tracks (the .DAT files on a Video CD) now convert like any other video.
• EXR images now convert to PNG, JPEG, WebP and the other common image formats, and HDR images can now go to JPEG 2000 and HEIC. The result is standard range, so the extra brightness range of HDR is not kept.
• Audio to video: turn a song, a podcast or a voice memo into an MP4, WebM or MKV with its waveform as the picture, ready to upload to a video site.

Fixed

• Once its converters are installed, Morphjet now works with no internet connection at all. It also no longer waits on the network when it opens (a firewall or a dead connection could leave the window blank), and the checks that do go online give up after a few seconds. Thanks to the customer who reported this.
• PDF to Word and PDF to OpenDocument no longer end the document with a list of bookmark links that led nowhere.
• HEIC export now works for 16-bit images, such as HDR photos, instead of refusing them.Linux

A second fix for packs that showed as locked on a paid licence.

Fixed

• The PDF tools pack, the extra speech-to-text models and the OCR language packs showed a lock on every licence and their Install button did nothing, even though a conversion could still fetch them on demand. They now install from the Packs screen like the rest. Reported by the same r/macapps reader as the previous fix, within the hour again.

A fix for first-run setup, plus two changes that were waiting for a release.

• If you bought Morphjet through a partner store, the refund page under Support now names that store, how many days you have, and where to go, instead of one sentence that covered every case.

Fixed

• Entering your licence key during first-run setup now unlocks the converter packs on the next screen straight away. Before, the list had been loaded before the key went in and kept showing every pack as locked until the app was reopened. Found by a reader of the r/macapps launch thread within the hour, thank you.
• A watch folder no longer converts an iCloud file that is offloaded from the disk. The file is skipped once, with a note saying to open it or download it, and the same bytes are never converted twice, so touching or re-downloading a file you already converted stays quiet.Mac

• Morphjet is out. Every conversion runs on your own computer, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to create. One purchase covers Mac, Windows and Linux.
• Right-click a file in Explorer and choose Convert with Morphjet to send it straight to the app.Windows
• Watch folders keep working after you close the window. Morphjet stays in the menu bar or system tray and converts whatever lands in the folders you point it at.
• Updates arrive inside the app. Settings tells you when a new version is ready, and nothing downloads until you say so.
• Installers are signed and notarized on Mac and signed on Windows. Linux gets an AppImage, a .deb and an .rpm.
