When to convert, and when not to
Convert 3GP to WAV when you have an old phone recording, voicemail, or voice memo and you need the audio on its own in a format that editing software, transcription tools, or any computer can open without fuss.
If you actually want to keep watching the video part, don't convert to WAV, since it keeps only the sound and throws away the picture.
